harm than good
A permanent DR 64 dofollow link for a one-time payment sounds tempting, but I’d want to check the site’s traffic and link quality first. Cheap backlinks can end up doing more harm than good.

A directory that filters the noise
Spent a couple hours digging through CodeTrendy last week looking for indie alternatives to a few SaaS tools I use. The curation is real. Found three products I had never seen anywhere else and one of them is now part of my daily workflow. Category structure is shallow enough that you can browse without getting lost.

Worth a half hour browse for indie SaaS
If you are tired of the same five tools showing up on every list, this is a better hunt. Good for finding things you would never discover on Producthunt or social. Fair warning, the categories overlap so you will need to dig a bit. Lean toward newer listings, the older ones are starting to age. Permanent listing model is friendly to founders who do not want to relaunch.

Could not find a directory worse than the others
I went searching for a startup directory that was not 90 percent SaaS slop and somehow ended up on CodeTrendy. The categories make sense, the listings load fast, and the search returns things that exist. Bar was on the floor and they cleared it walking. Found a small note app that I have been using for a week without complaining about.

Got my first signups from being listed here
Launched my SaaS in February and added myself to a handful of directories that promised the world. CodeTrendy was the only one that actually drove a few real signups in the months after. Nothing huge, low double digits, but they convert and stay. Worth listing if you ship a real product.
